      Eunpa Lake Park
      This place is called Eunpa(Silver Wave) because of its beautiful feature of shining water under sunshine. It is a historical place built before Joseon Dynasty and also shown in ‘DaedngyeoJido(korea Map)’ of Gosanza Kim Jeong-ho.

      Saemangeum Dyke
      Saemangeum Dyke, with its total length reaching 33.9km, is recorded to be the longest in the world, and is for the business of reclaiming land to expand territory. This is emerging to be the global tourist spot as it is linked with development of Gounsan international marine tourism and of Bi-ungdo tourism and fishing port.

      Gogunsan Islands
      It is the largest island in size among old Gunsan islands. It is told that Sir Choi Chi-won, a great scholar of the Silla age, raised a floor and read. and his grading sound was spread over to China.

      Gunsan Customs
      Build during the Korean Empire(1908/ Sunjong 2nd year June), Gunsan Customs had lots of annex buildings. However, now they are all demolished and only the main building remains. It is one of the three existing domestic buildings with Western classicism. It used as the Honam Custom exhibition hall.

      Gunsan Modern History Museum
      This museum show former Gunsan, as a trade port in the past and a center of marine dis-tribution, and displays modern cultural heritage. Gunsan customs main building, near mu-seum, was the only custom-office that has been in Korea during the Korea Empire. It was built in European style by a German in 1908(the 2nd year of King sunjong). Inside the building, it exhibits features of the old Gunsan Customhouse.

      Geumgang Mirgratory Birds Observatory
      AS a 360-degree rotating observatory center at the mammoth level which is the first and the best in the nation, you can observe migrant birds of Geumgang River area easily and in detail. Besides the obserbatory facility, it is also equipped with Birds Park, Migratory Birds Body Ex-ploration Hall, Hatching Experiencing Hall, etc, so is aneco-education place for a family unit.

      Dongguksa Temple
      As the only Japanese style temple left in our country, in was opened in 1909 during the Japanese colonial era. The main temple was founded in 1913. The eaves that have no ornaments and outer windows of the main temple shows the characteristics of the Japanese style temple well.

      Lee Yeongchun House
      This is the building built by a Japanese landlord around 1920. It is a building that has European style exteriors and eclecticisms which is combined with Korean style Ondol rooms. It is the the place where the number 1 domestic medical doctor, Lee Yeongchun who is called ‘the Schweitzer of Korea, lived. Currently, is it made as a commemoration exhibit hall for doctor Lee Yeongchun.

      Wolmyeong Lake Park
      lt shows the endless horizon to the west, While in the east side, there is downtown of gunsan towards northeast and shows Geum river mouth bank which has flown as long as 400km. We can also see a scenee of Gunsan, a port city, which fishing ship departs from the wharf and a large cargo ship enters and leaves from an outer port, at a glance.

      Balsan-ri 5 story stone Pagoda
      This stone pagoda, built during the Goryeo period(918~1392) was originally a five-storied pagoda erected on a two-tiered support, but at present, only four stories remain in the backyard of Balsan elementary school. The base resembles those of the Silla period, with the body stone carving four pillars, and the roofstone, composed of each one stone. lt is characteristic of Goryeo pagodas that the edge of three-tiered roofstone is tilted slightly upward and curved.

      Sinsido Hiking Course
      One can enjoy hiking with a seawater, ocean, and island background. Because the difficulty of the course is not high both women and men can enjoy hiking. It is a 3hour and 30 minute course. It is famous for being the Saemangeum climbing course.

      Jeonju Hanok Village
      Is is told that one should walk slowly to fully feel the city of Jeonju. Jeonju which is now trying to join the international slow city boasts of its Hanok Village as a landmark. Whoever visits the village find peace and comfort inside. Around 700 Korean traditional houses are gathered, forming the only Hanok village nationwide. Hanok Village is very special thanks to other important cultural sites and facilities such as Gyeonggijeon, Omokdae and Hyanggyo, which are unique to Jeonju.

      Iksan Mireuksaji
      Story about building Mireuksa, the biggest Buddist temple of Baekje era, was recorded in “the Heritage of the Three States”. Madong became King Mu(the 30th king of Baekje, A.D. 600-641) after getting married to Silla princess Seonhwa. The king and the queen were on their way to Mt. Yonghwa(presently called Mt. Mireuk) to meet a shadow monk, Jimyung. In the middle of their way, Mireuksamjon appeared from a pond. Inspired by that, the Kind decided to build the Mireuk temple

      Gwanghalluwon
      Gwanghanllu is a pavilion built in the middle of Joseon dynasty. There are 5 kan(a space between pillar to pillar) in width and 4 kan in length and it is topped with Paljakjibung, a roof of which side is shaped like Chinese character, 8(八). Gwanghallue has been designated as Treasures Nos. 281. Hwang Hui, who was the prime minister during the early days of Joseon dynasty, originally built Gwanghallu during his exile and called it Gwangtonglu. Later, there was a renovation in 1434 and its name, Gwanghallu, was derived from Gwanghancheongheobu(廣寒淸虛府) which Jeong Inji named the pavilion at that time.

      Dosan-ri Dolmen
      A valuable historical and cultural relic of the Prehistoric Age. The group of dolmens shows the communal life in the Bronze Age. Also, this is evaluated as an important relic which shows the culture and society of the Prehistoric Age through the funeral ceremony of 2000 to 3000 B.C. Designated as the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO in December 2000 with Dolmen group in Hwasun-gun, Jeonbuk-do. The historical sites around Sanggap-ri and Jukrim-ri have been maintained well.

      Mt. Maisan
      Located over Jinan-eup and Maryeong-myeon of Jinan-gun, Jeonbuk-do, this mountain is on the Jinangowon Plateau which is 6 to 12 miles in diameter, located between the Noryeong mountain chain and the Sobaek mountain chain. Two mountain peaks are in the Mt. Maisan, and they are the only couple mountain peaks in the world. The name of the mountain came from its shape-it looks like an ear of horse.

Also water education and culture center in the beautiful Yongdam Dam Park provides knowledges about Yongdam Dam construction; permanent exhibitions in the theme of ‘civilization, nature and water.’ Also it provides experience education of observing freshwater fishes living in Yongdamho Lake.

      Byeonsan Beach
      With long beach of white sands, the long forest of Pine trees show a great view. As the beach has less difference between the rise and fall of the tide, it is known as one of the three famous beaches of Seohaean (the west coast).       Baemsagol Valley
      The most beautiful valley in Jirisan Mountain spans 14 kilometers from Baemsagol Valley to Banseon and is said to be the most beautiful among valleys in the grounds of Jirisan Mountain National Park. The whole valley is formed with attractive rocks and There are huge flat rocks where over 100 people sit altogether and about 100 various waterfalls and ponds.
